I haven’t written much about the war between Russia and Ukraine lately. With everything going on around here, it’s been on the back burner for me.

Not today. It’s on the front burner again. And it’s hot.

The headline from the Washington Post: Putin boasts of massive strikes across Ukraine; Kyiv seeks resolute response from allies.

If this war could get any worse, I think it just did. Here’s what’s going on.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is blaming Ukraine for the attack of the Crimean Bridge. He calls it an “act of terror.”

Ukraine is not officially claiming responsibility for the attack. This bridge is a key link between Russia and Crimea. It is also the latest in a series of embarrassing setbacks for Russia in this war.

Putin is desperate and it’s showing. These attacks on the capital city of Kyiv are a clear indicator. Overnight, a number of civilians are believed to have been killed.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky says, “They are trying to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the Earth.”

Former U.S. Defense Intelligence Officer Rebekah Koffler tells Fox News, “Putin will not stop and from here he will only escalate.”

Zelensky tweeted that he had an urgent call with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss “air defense, the need for a tough European and international reaction, as well as increased pressure on the Russian federation.”

President Biden took a lot of flak for saying the world will face Armageddon if Vladimir Putin used a tactical nuclear weapon in Ukraine.

At this point, I’m not so sure anything is beyond Putin. He’s backed into a corner. Even the Russian people are starting to question the intelligence of this war.

The hurricane put the war on the back burner for a few days. It’s back on the front for me and looking very, very hot today.
