I’m writing this with little sleep and not a lot of confidence in my subject-verb agreement. So this could be my best blog ever!
We still don’t know who won the presidency. It’s just that close and that messy.
A lot of my friends are asking me what I think. Honestly? I don’t know. I just don’t know. But—this I do know—it ain’t Florida’s fault this time.
We learned our lesson in 2000. Being able to count the early votes early helps. A neat and tidy affair for the Sunshine State.
As for the other states, good luck. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. It could take days to count these votes. Ugh.
Joe Biden says, “It ain’t over till every vote is counted.”
President Trump says, “We will be going to the Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop.”
It’s not the voting that is still going on. It’s the counting. We did a live shot with the Fox station in Philadelphia this morning. When I asked the reporter how long the vote counting might take? Steve Keeley quoted the secretary of state in Pennsylvania: “When every vote is counted.”
That’s the way it should be, right?
So, we have another presidential election that is likely to end up in the Supreme Court. To that, I say one more time, It ain’t Florida. Whew!
